DVTOC invites you to our beer tasting event
"For the Love of Beer"

Leading the tasting for us is Alex Crowe.

Alex Crowe is a beer judge, lecturer and event host. He was formerly the brewmaster for the Sackets Harbor Brewing Co in N.Y. and won several medals there in international competitions. He holds a Degree in Brewing Technology from the Siebel Institute of Brewing Studies, and is a member of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas. He is a Certified Cicerone™ (the beer version of a sommelier) and a Certified Beer Judge. He teaches beer related coursework at the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College as well as hosting the popular Beer vs Wine Challenge Dinners there. In between beer gigs he develops cell based models of neurodegenerative diseases at the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery group at the Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research at the University of Pennsylvania.

In order to avoid running afoul of any liquor control boards, we've prepared the following beer list:

Guinness Stout

Between now and the event, please make sure to grab yourself a four pack, of one of each these beers, and we'll hear a bit about them and how they're unique to accompany our tasting. We'll hold the tasting via Zoom as per our usual events.

Alex has graciously offered to do this event for us gratis, on the stipulation that we collect a small donation of $10 per head for participation that we'll be donating to the non-profit Foundation for Renewable Energy and Environment (https://freefutures.org/) as part of our efforts to help accelerate the world's transition to renewable energy.
