As the number of Tesla vehicles on the roads grows, so does the chance that a first responder will need to interact with a Tesla in some capacity. Recognizing the need for first responders to safely operate and handle Tesla vehicles in emergency situations, DVTOC created "Tesla Crash Course" to provide first responders (police, fire, EMT, dispatchers) with first hand exposure toTesla vehicles. Read the story of how Crash Course started here.
Service to our community is an important part of DVTOC's mission. That is why we are inviting our members to join the Crash Crew, the group of volunteers that comes to our workshop and allows first responders to check out their Tesla and answer questions, including sometimes about ownership. If it's your first time participating, you might learn some useful information that could come in handy in an emergency situation. If you've done this before, thank you, we couldn't run this program without you.
The first part of the workshop is a presentation with Q&A followed by hands-on interaction and demos with the Tesla models. This part is where the owner participation is critical. The first responders get to see how the door handles work in all models, where high voltage cables and cut loop are located, and much more.
What are the benefits of joining Crash Crew?
